New Multiple Use Building Inaugarated in Turre

The president of the Diputacion de Almeria has inaugarated the new Multiple Use Building in Turre. Also present at the ceremony were Francisco Ortega, mayor of Turre, and Rodrigo Sanchez Haro, the mayor's first lieutenant. The building, which was built on the town's old market building has a total area of 1,079 square metres.

The ground floor will be used as a senior citizens day care centre and the new medical centre, which will replace the present medical centre currently housed in the neighbouring building. The upper floor will be used as the municipal library, with a computer room, archives and a reading zone. The first floor will also accommodate the Centro Guadalinfo, the Andalucian project for improving computer literacy in the province. The Multiple Use Building will also boast installations for use for holding meetings, an exhibition hall, storage space and offices.
